42Today is Towel Day, a day dedicated to the memory of Douglas Adams (1952-2001), author of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and other wonderful books. All over the world people carry towels to remember him, and events are organised in his honour. He is someone who has inspired me for years with his humour and insight. It was this quote that started my first paid choreography after leaving dance school “The Quest for UP”, and that I use in relation to my floor work classes (Get Down!):

“There is an art.., or rather a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. “ – Douglas Adams, Life, The universe and Everything

Thanks Douglas, for making the world a funnier place!!
